Rookwood is near Lidcombe. The closest main road is Homebush Bay Road/Centenary Drive. The entrance is at the junction of Centenary Drive and Weeroona Road, and it is between M4 and M5. There should be signs of direction after entry. The best way is to go to do a Google search on Rookwood Cemetery and check it out, The cemetery is very big.

In response to the loss of Yi's dear friend, Robin, I would like to offer my condolences to his friends and family. It is indeed an unfortunate loss and I am unsure as how to express how sorry I feel for those closest to him. Particularly, Yi and his many other close associates.

Despite only meeting him briefly, I remember Rob as an easy going guy and remember and continue to remember him as a great guy. I feel I was most fortunate in being able to have acquainted with him and the memories of playing soccer with him.

Yi, although I am not close with him and have not dealt with him on a personal basis, I would still like the opportunity to pay my respects to what I describe, as an all-round profession and friendly person such as Robin.

Again, I offer my sincerest condolences to the family and friends.

Hi all,

I'm not sure if you remember Robin from our soccer sessions but I have some bad news to share.

Robin has been working in the UK for the past few years as a trainee solicitor. Over a recent long weekend, he went mountaineering in Slovakia with a friend from the outdoors club in the High Tatras. The pair were delayed in returning and were caught in a blizzard close to nightfall. Emergency services had sent a team of professional rescuers, but the weather conditions were too poor to reach them. They were found in critical condition the next morning but died during the attempted evacuation.

Their bodies have now been retrieved and Robin's death certificate has been issued. His body is being sent back to Australia, and it is expected the funeral will take place in the near future.

I don't think there is ever a good way to break news like this - Robin touched many lives, certainly mine, and I hope that we can all take some time to reflect upon our memories of him in this sad time.

I will update you with the funeral arrangements as they come to light and I'm sure his parents will be honoured if you can attend.

Regards,

Yi
