LOL

That would be a true War Sim

In the end, instead of finding the enemies last surviving Pylon or Tech Building, you need to search there entire country for Weapons of mass destruction and then search every single village for the ousted leader, who happens to be hiding in the basement

For anyone with any interest in Starcraft, Iraq and "A Few Good Men":
In search of a better RTS

Making Quake3demo available over the CSE network is a double-edged sword. Its great fun and relaxing in between work, but is prone to loud and obnoxious people in the labs...especially while working.

GAIM deletes 2/3 of my user list then takes the liberty of asking for permission to re-add them to my list by itself.

Ingenious. What it did was rather than moving them internally, they delete the user from the list and add them back to the list, putting them in that particular group you wanted...of course completely forgetting that most users require authorisation. Robust.

But then again its my fault for even using group lists in ICQ. Its asking for trouble when trying to change it with other clients, seriously. I should have known better than to trust these rag-tag programs.

Yes I do know that, but the problem is...I've opened it

have you opened the packaging?
if not, then you have the right to have it returned; you should know this.

Anyone have a Goldtron P-600B DECT or Telstra 70/480/1000/1100/1500 Cordless telephone? I bought the wrong rechargeable battery and they won't let me return it due to risk policy.

Awesome.

Had some troubles enrolling in summer school (Aerodynamics) because they wanted to charge both Joel and I fees due to some technicalities of exchange.

After a lot of talking and phone calls they were convinced, and they're sending a student to UNSW for a semester to allow Joel and I to take summer for free.

as i keep telling you, sleep is for the weak!

Green ball.

Thanks guys :)

Those grades don't show the full story though.
I was working so long and hard on my Aerospace Vehicle Design Report during finals week (yes it was due during exams) that my body collapsed for 12 hours straight immediately before my Aircraft Structures exam. In short, I walked into that final exam with zero study and got a 54. That's a fail. I was bottom 4 for my class of 45 people in that test alone. But my professor knew me (I'm doing research under him this summer) and understood the situation, he looked at my grades for the homeworks and first two exams, and immediately disregarded my final and gave me an A. Yea.

P.S. That guy isn't me Charlie - Work hard, play hard, don't sleep.
:)

Congrats mate.
Looks like there's someone out there who actually knows how to balance their time.
Work Hard, Play Hard!
Enjoy your trip.

Congratulations. Your hard work always pays off :)

My blog's happy now!

Will make a post before I go to SFO and explore the west coast towards Mexico for the next two weeks, starting Friday (Currently 9:40am Wednesday)

Man the relief, my goodness

A&AE 251..... A ... 3.0 COMPLETED .. INTRO TO AEROSPACE VEHICLE DESIGN
A&AE 352..... A ... 3.0 COMPLETED .. AIRCRAFT STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS
A&AE 352L... A ... 1.0 COMPLETED .. AIRCRAFT STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS LABORATORY
A&AE 364..... A ... 3.0 COMPLETED .. CONTROL SYSTEMS ANALYSIS
C S 152........ A ... 2.0 COMPLETED .. FORTRAN PROGRAMMING
M E 274........ B ... 3.0 COMPLETED .. ENGINEERING DYNAMICS

GET OUT DYNAMICS!!! I have no idea how I seriously got a B.
Lecturer said there was absolutely no curving at all (scaling), so to get a B I must have gotten 18 or 19 / 20 questions completely correct. I ... dunno.

Worked my butt off for these grades. Happy happy happy.

Man I was so scared for dynamics, no partial credit for any questions in the final exam.

haha yeah they're really nice

today (Saturday it's currently 4:30pm) Chelsea (the main contact when buying the apartment) just...lent me her car.
She's pretty carefree considering she barely knows me and probably knows I don't ... drive on the right.

Well we needed to move a fridge and big luggage and she just let me use it to go back and forth a couple of kilometers through campus, and we fit a fridge into her lil Mitsubishi Eclipse.

That car's da bomb! And it was manual. ("stick shift" as they call it here). Not all that many drive manual here.
And the first time I've driven in 5 months.
Also, tis not very difficult to drive on the right, you just need to know road rules which aer funny here and you gotta look the other way at "round abouts" which aren't round abouts but actually four-way stops. Kinda queer.
It's so frigg'n hot, I just returned home and now I gotta help Kate move her furniture.

A lil excited, pretty tired and tomorrow midday (3am your time) I will be booted out of this hotel-style dorm and into an apartment.

Time Magazine's 20 most influential political figures of the 20th century

That list is a heresy! Where is Stalin? Richard M. Nixon should be on the list as he co-sponsored well over half of the post WW II legislation that was put in to effect in the U.S. Regardless of his fall he was one of the most influential American politicians from 1946- early 1970's.

I've never read something so hilarious in my life...

"The Matrix was a meeting point between Hollywood and Jewish Zionist fundamentalism. In using The Matrix, the Wachowski brothers tried to embellish the ugly image of the State of Israel and to introduce the Zionist society as a utopian future society. The plot for The Matrix is derived from the teachings of Gush Emunim, or the fundamental Zionists. The agents' purpose in The Matrix is to arrest the resistance leader, Morpheus, in order to eliminate the Zionist resistance movement by obtaining the entrance code to its network. In the film The Matrix, Zion is regarded as the only sanctuary and as the center of human resistance in the third millennium. The film indirectly suggests to the viewers that all other beliefs and ideologies are null and void. This is the Zionist racism, which wants everything for itself and does not conceive of non-Jews as deserving to live and prosper. This is only a miniscule part of the proof of the political, religious, and biblical aspects of The Matrix."

If I watch it, I will probably need to, with an OS assignment due on Monday and all. GRRR.
