Driving tests in South Africa..

My comp is fine now (no thanks to Alexis). Lucky for me I have a fairly quick sense of computer trojan knowledge, and my fast reaction to reset the comp saved many hours of comp fixing. The real bizarre thing is that I had an anti-virus proggie on at the time PLUS I never opened the executable. Ah well...

Btw, I'm also out for soccer (tho not as much as Benny), and if I'm lucky I get a car either tomorrow or Sunday (I O Jono many many many trips ^^)

I'm still working for Arup

Just saying a head hunter messaged me on facbeook and asked me to drop him a line if I or any friends were interested in eng jobs. It wasn't entirely spam either, because he said my world tour looked pretty cool, hence read my profile.

Though I doubt he has any cool aero jobs for me, but if I find time I'll message him

What do you mean? Where are you working now? Did you mean you are working for facebook now?

Wednesday, October 24, 2007

Ahhh bummer, sorry to hear benny. Take care of your ankle in your time off!

After just over three months' working, I've finally been head hunted as an engineer....on facebook. haha Drop him a line if you like, look for Bas Ramone.

No, Thank you Yi for having us over, encouraging (binge) drinking, cleaning up and generally being the perfect host/husband/father.

Your new place is extraordinarily sexy and your future wife/girlfriend/life partner/pet dog would be ecstatic with such a clean yet understatedly stylish abode.

Thanks to Marc, James and Scott for getting the meat and organising (being born in this month) this outing.

Thanks to Jono for preparing the salad with such precision with metal attached to plastic.

Thanks to KJ and Alexis for bringing good old console fun and Charlie for coming to see us and keep GUI (can't spell) company

Thanks to Chu for being a social butterfly as always XD

And thanks to Spain for being a human salmonella factory and buying an ulti orb

Finally apologies to all who are interested in soccer but I think I'll be out of action for a month or so (Go heal Kj, Hash, Alexis) .

It appears that Alexis and KJ both have an MSN Worm, Alexis first.. more details and cleaning instructions from this page..

Until they clean it up and afterward, don't accept a file named imageXX.zip where XX is a number from them or anyone..

KJ, Alexis, you are both sending me very suspicious packages over MSN.

You keep telling me they are photos in zip files so when I open the zip file I see not an image but an executable file. Wow, I think I will double click it and see what will happen....

Alexis you are using exclamation marks and showing general joviality (haha) in single short messages. That is cause for concern enough. Not only that, when I reply, the messages never get through.

I suggest you two clean your computers ASAP before you infect any other retards dumb enough to fall for it.

Thanks for making it yesterday guys.
Would not have been the same without you!

The food, the entertainment, the company and the quality time thoroughly "broke-in" my apartment. :)

It was very enjoyable for me and I hope you all had a good time!

Now I'm left with a spare sock and a drink bottle.
Anyone would like to claim them?
:)

Awesome housewarming Yi. Unfortunately we didn't get to tap anything XD.

Thanks to all those who went to the trouble of organising food and to those who prepared all those dead animals in such a wonderful fashion! OM OM OM OM OM OM!

Hi-Larious

Did you guys wanna meet up say an hour earlier, at 2pm to go to Coles? (3 minutes drive from my place)

Regarding paintball:

Scott: If it was CTO vs Mech why was I put on Mech team? I should have been in team CTO...wtf? I am CTO!

Hmmm...interesting plans. So soccer is now at 3pm, NOT 10am? If so, please update wiki. I'll see if I can make it to soccer, it all depends on my leg's assessment. Either way, I'll give Yi a call 2morrow morning after a trip to the physio to confirm. No dinner for me though. You guys enjoy it.

Saturday Soccer + (belated) BBQ birthday bash for the CTO survivors.

3pm Centennial Park for soccer.
BBQ dinner and drinks afterwards at my place.

hahaha!

On the Audi's cornering capability (3:23):
"Driving most supercars is like trying to man-handle a cow up a back stair case. This is like smearing honey into Keira Knightley"

Speaking of Britanny Spears, even ESPN is talking about Britanny Spears

The difference is that there is nothing repressed about the US fascination for Brittany Spears at all. It concords with the public vigorously pursuing interests in celebrities both in real life and on the internet.

Whereas the most common search in the US is Brittany Spears -- what's the difference?

hot topics to on google searches

Internet users in Egypt, India and Turkey are the world's most frequent searchers for websites using the keyword "sex" on Google.

lol can you say repressed?

The photo on wiki is much more appealing than on Top Gear. Maybe the grey colour just sux. Probably would have been better if the stripe was confined to the door and didn't reach beyond that.

Speaking of XK, I saw an old one (pre 2006) this morning. Maroon colour. Wasn't really impressed ><

The R8 certainly looks aesthetically pleasing, but the question on everyone's mind is .. can it drift?

James, screw your XK. Its all about the Audi R8. As soon as I saw the opening frame on Top Gear, I knew it was gonna be awesome :D

Also not that I like Mini's but I saw one with a rigid sports skirt kit and I just thought they completely ruined the aesthetics of the car, which is basically the only reason you would buy one. Good job!

Tempt me not heathen. I now follow the cult of Gordon Ramsay

Cooking quick and cheap

I thought I'd already mentioned this, maybe it was just over the work emails, but I have a silly training course for work at sydney uni 9am-5pm Saturday

I might be able to join in the evening ish, but also have Max's 25th drinks in randwick at night from around 9pm

just fyi

Sure I'll bring the Weber. Jono can bring his too so we actually have a BBQ to cook with.

Marc will bring his Weber.

ZOMGWTFBBQ

I need to be at uni at 12 on Saturday for about an hour or so (double time pay). A barbecue around then and soccer at 3 would be ideal as it equates to more soccer being played by me, but its whatever you guys want. I can make 10am soccer but will have to go to uni at 11:30 latest, then come back after 1.

Soccer is either at 10am then BBQ

or 3pm to accommodate Alexis and the pro footballers.

I don't know how the BBQ will be structured.

It's really up to Marc, Scott and James since this is for them.

I just initiated this and may sabotage it now that it is in motion and Spain is ditching for Runners

Well Saturday won't be disgracefully hot like yesterday but if we do a BBQ thing I'd rather soccer first. I'd prefer not to rush lunch especially if we have shit to clean up

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

For soccer, David, Manuel and I can only make it after 3 guys. I can bring Ignacio as well (I am sure you remember him Benny) so we can have a lot of quality players. Besides, as if people are going to turn up at 10. If anything make it 9 so we actually start at 10 and play before the sun starts to burn on our skins.

Can we move it to 3-4, as originally suggested?

'Old fuddy-duddy' fights back over Google sacking

Monday, October 08, 2007

As per jono's request:

Soccer this Saturday, around 12 at Centennial Park.

So far we have :: Benny, Yi, KJ, Jono, Adrian and me.

Yeah, google maps is quite good.

I beleive thats how Scott found his USB key XD

For those of you who are still using whereis.com, check out google maps. Its improved by A LOT since I last tried it last year and is: a) very quick b) much less cumbersome than whereis.com

Give it a try and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Sunday, October 07, 2007

I have some bad news. My phone ran out of memory so it didn't save alexis' bare back. Here's all that was recorded...

Friday, October 05, 2007

Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and footwear and plastic bags if need be to carry painted rags.

Hey guys I have booked Indian dinner for 20 at a place called 'Taste of India' in Double Bay at around 7.30. Most here did say yes to dinner after paintball and there are some people that can't make it to paintball but are keen on eating afterwards. Hash has agreed that we can crash at his place before making our way to dinner.

OK - Transport

People are meeting at my house at 7 ::

Jono - by Car
Marc - by Car
Darren

Sean is picking up Yi and Alex
If Yi and Alex can make it to Benny's house by Friday Nite,
then Sean is picking up all 3 at Benny's house.

Wednesday, October 03, 2007

oh lol, was looking on job ads and I saw this:

The principal Robert Mulley has been practising law for some 28 years and has experience in a wide area of the law. He also has a background in indictable crime.

Tuesday, October 02, 2007

And where the heck are Charlie, Kwong and John?? Why are they not joining this epic battle?

Where is Paintball? Out west from memory

I'm happy to meet at Hash's, 7am. As expected I'll have a car (lest it break down)

Anyone need a lift prior to Hash's house? Yi? If you want Yi you can crash at mine on Friday night since I"ll probably get to hash's without going through the city/parramatta road.

Are people buying cups? Everytime I go paintballing I do worry a touch about the nuts...

I should be available to drive.

Everyone should converge at one point. Maybe Hash's?

Hello pplz - we need to organise transport for Paintball!

The recommended ETA is ~ 7:45 AM.

That means people generally leaving homes at ~ 7 AM.

That means other people getting to places before 7 AM.
