Those new self-service checkouts at Coles and Woolies are great! No more of enduring cold-stares when you produce a bag full of shrapnel.

In fact, its the best way of spending your shrapnel!

Ricky Gervais's show is the epitome of schadenfreudian humour

Just watched Tropic Thunder. Painful: Funny at times, but not ROFL. A very Ben Stilleresque movie. Still, I think he's funniest when he's taking the piss out of himself. Wrong. Double it. Add six

And when I say painful, I mean...Tom Cruise dancing to Flo Rida painful...

Shortee wore dem apple-bottom jeans *jeans*
Boots wif da fur *wifff da fuuuuurrrr*

I wouldn't have thought it would be your kind of movie Alexis...

GTA 4 confirmed for PC.

Looks bizarre, like something out of Space Odyssey

Awe inspiring pictures.

The comments are hilarious too.

I love CERN. (kinda like the swiss version of NERV, or SEELE.)

God's in his heaven, we'll smash hadrons on earth.

Fantastic pictures of CERN's Large Hadron Collider.

http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2008/08/the_large_hadron_collider.html

From SMH:
"Swiss scientists at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) have announced the start-up date for the world's largest particle accelerator which has caused controversy due to the slim possibility the device may create a black hole and destroy the Earth.

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC), which has cost $10 billion, has been constructed under the city of Geneva on the French/Swiss border and is designed to slam together particles of matter to create conditions similar to those that existed shortly after the big bang.

But re-creating the conditions of the big bang has led some to hold fears the LHC could create a variety of doomsday scenarios including spawning many black holes on a micro scale which would join together and expand, rapidly enveloping the Earth and surrounding solar system."

not sure if it's a blessing or a curse that they didn't bother coming down my street...
though i can see our parked car from an adjacent tree.

bloody hell these photos are scary!

(fyi, google maps is an australia invention so part of the reason we got street view so early. :)

lol @ streetview? the scope is just...enormous.

From the clues I've gathered, it was a Thursday that they took the picture and it was before February.

How do you think I know about the gruesome evisceration?

lol, I don't care if they show it or not, I'm just saying they're chicken shits.

Don't worry Marc, what the universe takes away with one hand, it gives with the other.

In this case, the other hand is the internet =P

Chicken shit Channel 9 didn't show the entire season of the F Word. They stopped at 5the show of 9 episodes and called this week's the "Season Final" when they saw Channel 10 get a new asshole ripped into them after come-play-with-Jamie Fowl Dinners.

Looks like Channel 9 will be showing half of every season of the F Word because inevitably every season ends with him graphically (but humanely) slaughtering his pets to educate people about where their food comes from.

As you can see, I don't like Channel 9 much. Like I said before, spineless leg-spreading twerps.
