Thanks to the internet, I've found a solution to Gettier problems:
S knows that h iff (i) h is true, (ii) S is justified [by some evidence e] in believing h…, (iii) S believes that h on the basis of his justification and…(ivg)…there is an evidence-restricted alternative Fs* to S’s epistemic framework Fs such that (i) ‘S is justified in believing that h’ is epistemically derivable from the other members of the evidence component of Fs* and (ii) there is some subset of members of the evidence component of Fs* such that (a) the members of this subset are also members of the evidence component of Fs and (b) ‘S is justified in believing that h’ is epistemically derivable from the members of this subset. [Where Fs* is an ‘evidence-restricted alternative’ to Fs iff (i) For every true proposition q such that ‘S is justified in believing not-q’ is a member of the evidence component of Fs, ‘S is justified in believing q’ is a member of the evidence component of Fs*, (ii) for some subset C of members of Fs such that C is maximally consistent epistemically with the members generated in (i), every member of C is a member of Fs*, and (iii) no other propositions are members of Fs* except those that are implied epistemically by the members generated in (i) and (ii).

Good ol Column 8 Goodness:
Now we know the real purpose of modern telecommunications. Last week Mohan Wijeyamohan's 22-year-old son was in the toilet at home when he realised there was no toilet roll. Luckily he had his mobile phone with him. His brother was downstairs but instead of calling out (so last millennium) he sent him a text message. His brother then phoned Mohan at work to ask where the toilet roll was kept. Mohan holds an important position as a financial controller, but domestic dramas take precedence.

More on IQ and Voting: Here's the education levels of voters in the 2002 Midterm elections broken out by race... GOP candidates for the House of Representatives did exceptionally well with the well educated in 2002, especially compared to Bush's rather downscale re-election campaign in 2004... Republican candidates greatest appeal was to those who had done postgrad studies... there was a positive correlation between educational level and Republicanism.

Well, I have to admit....
George Lucas makes the best...
TrailersEver.
Seriously, to anyone who has seen the Episode III trailer, that was some really good shit. I figure Lucas has a couple dozen Star Wars geeks locked in a basement at Skywalker Ranch, and he spends hours running tantalizing 2-minute clips of light-saber duels and space ships by them just to see what will make them pee their pants.
Too bad the last couple of movies didn't even come close to even approaching the merest possibility of living up to the trailers.
To quote...well, everyone in the Star Wars films: "I have a bad feeling about this..."
